Backspreads are options trading strategies designed to profit when a stock breakout to either upside or downside.

Backspreads are essentially another name for Volatile Options Strategies and allows you to profit no matter which direction a stock breaks out into. Some common backspreads include the famous Long Straddle and Long Strangle.
